GemGenève, brillano gioielli di designer ucraini con Strong & Precious Art Foundation
Brilleranno anche gioielli ucraini a GemGenève 2023, la fiera svizzera giunta alla settima edizione, in programma dal 2 al 5 novembre al Palaexpo di Ginevra. La Strong & Precious Art Foundation parteciperà, infatti, all’evento presentando marchi e designer più e meno noti. GemGenève accoglierà NOMIS, Drutis Jewellery, Yuval’ Studios, Inesa Kovalova, Zhernov Artifactory ed i nuovi arrivati GeO e Yastreb Jewelry.
“Siamo felici di aiutare i nostri designer di talento a brillare in un contesto internazionale – ha detto Olga Oleksenko, CEO della Fondazione – GemGenève è diventato un punto di partenza per il riconoscimento internazionale di molti gioiellieri ucraini. Non lesiniamo sforzi per far conoscere l’arte orafa ucraina a un pubblico esigente, veri intenditori di gioielli ed esperti di tutto il mondo”.
NOMIS
In fiera, dunque, spiccherà NOMIS, sinonimo di lusso moderno nel mondo della gioielleria. Gli articoli del marchio sono multifunzionali e unisex: gli anelli possono essere indossati come polsini per le orecchie, gli spilloni per le orecchie come ciondoli e i bracciali come girocollo.
DRUTIS
Gioielli Drutis, invece, vuole mettere in risalto l’espressione di chi indossa i gioielli attraverso l’oggetto che viene indossato, curato nel design. “Ogni giorno è tuo“, è il messaggio trasferito. La collezione presenta i ciondoli a caleidoscopio già noti, gli anelli di Solomon che sono più dinamici e caratterizzati da gemme che si muovono liberamente.
YUVAL’ STUDIOS
Yuval’ Studios presenta la sua collezione “Motherland“. Fonde i disegni simbolici, che riecheggiano i campi dell’Ucraina ricchi di grano, con ceramiche tradizionali rielaborate, brocche per il latte e pecore.
INESA KOVALOVA
Inesa Kovalova supera i confini del design tradizionale e presenta “Suspension“: orecchini in diamanti, oro e titanio che incarnano il movimento e la luce.
GEO
Le gemme millenarie della natura sono le protagoniste dei pezzi di Geo, ricchi di maestria artigianale. Il marchio non sceglie la produzione di massa ma va nella direzione della esclusività della creazione.
GIOIELLI YASTREB
Gioielli Yastreb, marchio lanciato nel 2012 da Olena Yastreb, invita chi indossa i gioielli realizzati a dichiarare con coraggio la propria identità ma anche a ricercare bellezza e gioia.
ZHERNOV ARTIFACTORY
Infine Zhernov Artifactory è un marchio di gioielli di nicchia fondato dall’artista e designer ucraino Sergey Zhernov e da sua moglie Lilia nel 2014. Fino al 2022, le collezioni audaci e ricche di segni distintivi sono state realizzate esclusivamente dall’artista. Poi c’è stato un momento di cambiamento, da marzo 2022. La famiglia si è trasferita a Zurigo e adesso il marchio è temporaneamente inattivo, perché lo studio si trova a Kiev. Gli Zhernov sperano di riprendere al più presto il proprio percorso creativo.
GemGenève, shining jewellery by Ukrainian designers with Strong & Precious Art Foundation
Ukrainian jewellery will also shine at GemGenève 2023, the Swiss trade fair now in its seventh edition, to be held from 2 to 5 November at the Palaexpo in Geneva. In fact, the Strong & Precious Art Foundation will participate in the event by presenting already well-known brands and designers or in a new version. GemGenève will welcome NOMIS, Drutis Jewellery, Yuval’ Studios, Inesa Kovalova, Zhernov Artifactory and newcomers GeO and Yastreb Jewelry.
“We are happy to help our talented designers shine in the global arena,” said Olga Oleksenko, CEO of the Foundation, “GemGenève has become a starting point for the international recognition of many Ukrainian jewellers. We spare no effort in making Ukrainian goldsmith’s art known to a demanding public, real jewellery connoisseurs and experts from all over the world’.
At the fair, therefore, NOMIS, synonymous with modern luxury in the world of jewellery, will stand out. The brand’s items are multifunctional and unisex: rings can be worn as ear cuffs, ear pins as pendants, and bracelets as chokers.
Yuval’ Studios presents its ‘Motherland’ collection. It fuses symbolic designs, echoing the wheat-rich fields of Ukraine, with reworked traditional ceramics, milk jugs and sheep.
Inesa Kovalova crosses the boundaries of traditional design and presents ‘Suspension’: diamond, gold and titanium earrings that embody movement and light.
The millennial gems of nature are the stars of Geo’s pieces, rich in craftsmanship. The brand does not opt for mass production but goes in the direction of exclusivity of creation.
Yastreb Jewellery, a brand launched in 2012 by Olena Yastreb, invites the wearer of the jewellery made to boldly declare their identity but also to seek beauty and joy.
Finally, Zhernov Artifactory is a niche jewellery brand founded by Ukrainian artist and designer Sergey Zhernov and his wife Lilia in 2014. Until 2022, the bold and distinctive collections were exclusively by the artist. Then there was a moment of change, from March 2022. The family moved to Zurich and now the brand is temporarily inactive, as the studio is located in Kiev. The Zhernovs hope to resume their creative journey as soon as possible.
