Contesa da oltre dieci potenziali compratori da tutto il mondo quest’icona del collezionismo internazionale

«Già un diamante rosa naturale è di per sé un pezzo molto ricercato, ma superiore ai tre carati diventa rarità assoluta. Se poi è incastonato in una creazione Bulgari, si trasforma in un unicum. Chi avrà la fortuna di aggiudicarsi il lotto, conquisterà non solo un incredibile diamante, ma un gioiello unico e irripetibile». Dopo una serrata competizione tra oltre dieci potenziali compratori, collegati al telefono da tutto il mondo – in particolare da Stati Uniti, Regno Unito, Germania, Svizzera, paesi del Medio Oriente e Hong Kong, quello spettacolare anello “trombino” con diamante rosa taglio rettangolare a gradini di 3,18 carati, accompagnato da certificato GIA attestante che è Natural Fancy Intense Pink, VS2, di tipo IIa, è stato aggiudicato alla straordinaria cifra di 2,260 milioni di euro (inclusi diritti).
 
Il risultato rappresenta il secondo realizzo più alto mai ottenuto da un gioiello all’asta in Italia e il nuovo top lot assoluto nella storia di Aste Bolaffi.

this icon of international collecting is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece.
“A natural pink diamond is already a highly sought-after piece in itself, but one over three carats is an absolute rarity. When set in a Bulgari creation, it becomes truly one of a kind. Whoever is lucky enough to win the lot will not only acquire an incredible diamond, but also a unique and unrepeatable piece of jewelry.“ This was the comment made by Matteo Armandi, head of the ”Passion” division at Bolaffi Auctions.
After fierce competition between more than ten potential buyers connected by telephone from all over the world—particularly the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, the Middle East, and Hong Kong—the spectacular “trombino” ring with a 3.18-carat rectangular step-cut pink diamond, accompanied by a GIA certificate attesting that it is Natural Fancy Intense Pink, VS2, type IIa, was sold for the extraordinary sum of €2.260 million (including fees).

This result represents the second highest price ever achieved by a piece of jewelry at auction in Italy and the new absolute top lot in the history of Aste Bolaffi.
