L’artista tedesca, designer e artigiana produttrice di gioielli che emanano imperfezione, trasformazione, contrasto e giocosità, come si legge sul suo sito, si lascia ispirare da simboli che traduce in una estetica in equilibrio tra arcaico e moderno, caratterizzata dalla superficie ruvida del metallo perché “l’imperfezione rende gli oggetti unici”, perché “quando osservi qualcosa, quello che conta più dell’oggetto stesso, è come tu lo guardi”.

I suoi gioielli sono in oro, argento e bronzo con diamanti e pietre preziose, rigorosamente lavorati a mano e che Paola Stroppiana, storica dell’arte e studiosa di gioielli d’artista, definisce un “universo creativo alimentato da una forza vitale inarrestabile”.

La mostra, intitolata “Ponti” in riferimento alle tante connessioni che caratterizzano la filosofia di Simone Vera, si terrà dall’8 maggio al 10 giugno 2025 presso l’Atelier Internocortile. Simone Vera Bath: “Bridges,” his first solo exhibition in Turin

“The unfinished, in Simone’s hands, becomes a poetic choice: a way to remind us that perfection does not belong to us, and that authentic beauty lies in the awareness of our limitations.” Paola Stroppiana

Simone Vera Bath, a designer and artisan maker of jewelry that emanates imperfection, transformation, contrast and playfulness, as stated on her website, is inspired by symbols that she translates into an aesthetic balanced between the archaic and the modern, characterized by the rough surface of metal because “imperfection makes objects unique,” because “when you look at something, what matters more than the object itself is how you look at it.”
Her jewelry is made of gold, silver and bronze with diamonds and precious stones, rigorously handcrafted and which Paola Stroppiana, an art historian and scholar of artist’s jewelry, calls a “creative universe fueled by an unstoppable life force.”
The exhibition, titled Bridges in reference to the many connections that characterize Simone Vera’s philosophy, will be held from May 8 to June 10, 2025
