Museo del Gioiello, a maggio i workshop con Barbara Uderzo
Così le sale del piano nobile della Basilica Palladiana si animeranno con tante attività dedicate ad adulti e piccini: iniziative che hanno come obiettivo quello di avvicinare il pubblico al fascino che avvolge la tradizione orafa.
Tra i primi appuntamenti in programma ritroviamo quello dedicato al giorno della festa della mamma. La data da cerchiare in rosso è quindi quella di domenica 14 maggio, ovvero quando tutte le madri, insieme ai loro bambini, avranno l’opportunità di vivere gratuitamente una visita guidata alla mostra permanente “Gioielli Italiani”. Un percorso accompagnato per apprezzare le migliori storie orafe della penisola, assieme ai manufatti della mostra temporanea “Gioielli e amuleti. La bellezza nell’antico Egitto”, (prorogata fino a domenica 28 maggio).
Ma come anticipato in apertura, il Museo del Gioiello di Vicenza – un progetto di Italian Exhibition Group gestito dal Comune di Vicenza – è pronto a dare il via a tante novità che arricchiranno tutto il mese di maggio. Tra queste rientrano anche i workshop con Barbara Uderzo, l’orafa e designer di gioielli, le cui creazioni sono state esposte in numerose gallerie e musei internazionali.
I laboratori – rivolti ad un pubblico adulto – sono incentrati sul percorso che dà vita al gioiello. Il primo incontro – fissato per domenica 21 maggio – prevede l’osservazione di un ornamento preistorico in esposizione nelle teche del Museo; un workshop che insegnerà ai partecipanti a lavorare il filo di alluminio per creare un anello personalizzato. Mentre il secondo laboratorio si terrà domenica 11 giugno e vedrà come protagonista l’acciaio. Durante quest’incontro si darà modo di creare una spilla ispirata alle antiche fibule esposte al Museo.
Infine con “Disegni preziosi” si chiude il ciclo di appuntamenti per i più piccini. L’ultimo laboratorio, infatti, è previsto per domenica 28 maggio. Un workshop che, attraverso l’esplorazione del tema del gioiello, permetterà ai bambini di divertirsi e di dare libero sfogo alla creatività.

So the halls of the main floor of the Basilica Palladiana will come alive with many activities dedicated to adults and children: initiatives that aim to bring the public closer to the fascination that surrounds the goldsmithing tradition.
Among the first scheduled events we find the one dedicated to Mother’s Day. The date to be circled in red is therefore Sunday, May 14, which is when all mothers, together with their children, will have the opportunity to experience a free guided tour of the permanent exhibition “Italian Jewels.” an accompanied tour to best appreciate the best goldsmith stories of the peninsula, together with the artifacts of the temporary exhibition “Jewels and Amulets. Beauty in Ancient Egypt,” (extended until Sunday, May 28).
But as anticipated in the opening, the Vicenza Jewelry Museum-a project of Italian Exhibition Group managed by the City of Vicenza-is ready to kick off many new events that will enrich the entire month of May. These include workshops with Barbara Uderzo, the goldsmith and jewelry designer whose creations have been exhibited in numerous international galleries and museums.
The workshops – aimed at an adult audience – focus on the path that brings jewelry to life. The first meeting-set for Sunday, May 21-will feature an observation of a prehistoric ornament on display in the museum’s showcases; a workshop that will teach participants how to work with aluminum wire to create a custom ring. While the second workshop will be held on Sunday, June 11, and will feature steel. During this meeting they will be given the opportunity to create a brooch inspired by the ancient fibulas on display at the Museum.
Finally, with “Precious Drawings” the series of appointments for the youngest children closes. The last workshop, in fact, is scheduled for Sunday, May 28. A workshop that, through the exploration of the theme of jewelry, will allow children to have fun and give free rein to their creativity.
