In Cina “The Prince of Goldsmiths: Buccellati Rediscovering the Classics”

Tra passato e futuro la mostra allo Shanghai Exhibition Center

La Maison celebra la sua eredità d’arte in una mostra a Shanghai, all’interno dello Shanghai Exhibition Center. Dal 7 dicembre 2025 al 5 gennaio 2026. Dopo il successo della prima edizione veneziana nel 2024, presenta “The Prince of Goldsmiths. Buccellati Rediscovering the Classics” (il cui nome riprende quello dato a Mario Buccellati da Gabriele d’Annunzio, che lo definì “Il Principe degli Orafi” per la sua abilità), un’esposizione immersiva che racconta la storia e la maestria di quattro generazioni di artigiani.

A Shanghai, la retrospettiva si amplia con quattro nuove sale e oltre 250 pezzi unici tra gioielli e oggetti in argento, mettendo in luce lo spirito creativo che contraddistingue Buccellati.
Il progetto espositivo, curato da Alba Cappellieri e reso possibile dall’apporto scenografico di Luca Orsi x Prest5, fonde elementi classici con tecnologie multimediali avanzate. Un dialogo tra architetture e installazioni digitali che svelano i raffinati processi produttivi e le tecniche tramandate nel tempo.
Il viaggio è suddiviso in sezioni tematiche: dalle spille delle generazioni Buccellati, a uno spazio intimo che ricostruisce gli ambienti della famiglia, fino alle ispirazioni artistiche che abbracciano architettura, natura e archeologia. Proiezioni immersive, collaborazioni con artisti e aziende storiche come Venini e Ginori, e il film d’autore “Mosaico” di Yuri Ancarani completano il percorso.
Nell’ultima sezione le tecniche orafe storiche e contemporanee della Maison, dove capolavori iconici si fondono a creazioni moderne, narrando la continuità di stile e innovazione che da generazioni rappresenta il cuore di Buccellati.
L’evento è un omaggio alla bellezza in cui passato e futuro si incontrano, celebrando l’arte orafa come patrimonio culturale ed estetico di valore universale.

Between past and future, the exhibition at the Shanghai Exhibition Center

The Maison celebrates its artistic heritage in an extraordinary exhibition in Shanghai, at the Shanghai Exhibition Center. From December 7, 2025, to January 5, 2026. Following the success of the first edition in Venice in 2024, “The Prince of Goldsmiths. Buccellati Rediscovering the Classics” (whose name echoes that given to Mario Buccellati by Gabriele d’Annunzio, who called him “The Prince of Goldsmiths” for his skill) is an immersive exhibition that tells the story and mastery of four generations of artisans.
In Shanghai, the retrospective expands with four new rooms and over 250 unique pieces of jewelry and silver objects, highlighting the creative spirit that distinguishes Buccellati.
The exhibition project, curated by Alba Cappellieri and made possible by the scenographic contribution of Balich Wonder Studio, blends classic elements with advanced multimedia technologies. A dialogue between architecture and digital installations reveals the refined production processes and techniques handed down over time.

The journey is divided into thematic sections: from the brooches of the Buccellati generations, to an intimate space that reconstructs the family’s surroundings, to artistic inspirations that embrace architecture, nature, and archaeology. Immersive projections, collaborations with artists and historic companies such as Venini and Ginori, and Yuri Ancarani’s arthouse film “Mosaico” complete the journey.
The last section showcases the Maison’s historical and contemporary goldsmithing techniques, where iconic masterpieces blend with modern creations, narrating the continuity of style and innovation that has been at the heart of Buccellati for generations.
The event is a tribute to beauty where past and future meet, celebrating the art of goldsmithing as a cultural and aesthetic heritage of universal value.
