BeRì, when myth and legend become jewelry

beri 1

The smell of sulphur and the fragrance of orange blossoms. At the foot of a volcano called Etna in the town of Sant’Agata Li Battiati in her laboratory established some thirty years ago, Rita Di Raimondo recreates the myths and legends that tell the story of Sicily.

A Medusa whose stare turns one into stone, the love a young maiden felt for an insincere Moor, a sly Morgana and the luring Siren; these are just some of the characters typical of Sicilian ceramic and lava stone creations which are embellished with details in coral, gemstones, gold, and silver. Each jewel labeled BeRì tells the story of a journey from yesteryear to accompany the contemporary woman with glamour.
