Dopo “Safari”, ecco un’altra capsule, celebrativa dell’estate e per questo limitata nel tempo e nel numero dei pezzi, realizzati su ordinazione. Lo scenario è quello marino, ma guardato con occhi liberi dal prevedibile e da preconcetti.

Con “Ondiva”, Aucella porta in scena il mito di Partenope, che si racconta in scenari luminosi affiorati dall’oscurità dei fondali. Supera le tradizioni ma non l’arte del fatto a mano: maestri artigiani, depositari di cultura e di memoria, hanno accostato in mosaici i colori vividi del turchese, del corallo, del lapislazzuli e di altri materiali, per raffigurare dettagli e profili di creature submarine altrimenti incisi su conchiglia. Le diversità delle tecniche (due protagonismi solo apparentemente non avvicinabili) diventano complementari all’audacia di questa bellezza di tutt’altro sapore, dove nulla è più credibile della fantasia.
Tutti sono montati in argento dorato. Nessuno è uguale all’altro.

A new collection, and one that offers one of the best spectacles: unspoiled nature, with an unexpected attribute, a trendy touch apostrophized by a delicate sense of cheerfulness. After “Safari,” here is another capsule, celebratory of summer and therefore limited in time and number of pieces, made to order. The scenery is marine, but looked at with eyes free from the predictable and preconceived notions.
With “Ondiva,” Aucella brings to the stage the myth of Partenope, which is told in luminous scenarios surfaced from the darkness of the seabed. It surpasses traditions but not the art of the handmade: master craftsmen, repositories of culture and memory, have juxtaposed the vivid colors of turquoise, coral, lapis lazuli and other materials in mosaics to depict details and profiles of submarine creatures otherwise engraved on shell. The diversity of techniques (two protagonists only seemingly unapproachable) become complementary to the boldness of this beauty of an entirely different flavor, where nothing is more believable than fantasy.
All are mounted in gilded silver. None is the same as the other.

And the cameo becomes modern, easy to wear and with a universal language that makes younger generations re-discover the art of goldsmithing.
